![]() So, paranoid and irrational or not, until I hear a sensible (and sadly, yes, that means sensible to me) reason for sticking a given bit of info up here, I think I won't. So, to just post it all up here where any old joe can see it, gives me the heebie-jeebies. ![]() ![]() I realize this may come across as paranoid, but as someone who doesn't have quite one full clue about pretty well everything in those log files, I nevertheless can't help imagining that my partial clue suggests two things:ġ) that entire file can't be equally helpful to solving the issue of "extensions" related to my issue of Preview, andĢ) just maybe someone with a whole lot more clue than I have, and with evil intent (not anyone present now, but in the evil future), could use something in that entire file for their evil - though why against little old me, I can't imagine, but that may only be because I lack evil intent. Timing of the problem starting was just after printer, but I can't find any ideas of what to try. Wondering if having recently installed a new printer would have something to do with this? Just opening and closing pdfs doesn't cause the problem.įrom my Library\Preferences folder. Works okay, until I try making a pdf again. I can (sometimes) drag the still-open jpg window around the desktop, but cannot close it, nor close Preview (via Apple-Q, clicking, anything), and cannot open anymore files for preview by double-clicking in finder windows.įorce quit allows me to reopen Preview (previous jpg file opens as last-active window). The pdf file is saved ok, but Preview is now disabled, the cursor has become a plus sign. I open a jpg file, then either a) "print" to pdf file, or b) export as pdf. Preview has only recently started doing the following: Running OS 10.13.6 on a mac mini (late 2012, 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5).
